Kor Para was the name of a house which belonged to the late Sheikh Jalil Muhammad. He was a well respected person, helping the local community as much as he could. In that time there was a lack of education in Bangladesh, especially in Sylhet. Sheikh Jalil Muhammad was well educated compared to others not only in the Singer Kach area but also Sylhet. People with problems, especially the poor, would come to Sheikh Jalil Muhammad for help.
